Oils for a Welcoming Home

Published: Thu, 06/11/15

Hi

Are there some things you do around your house

when you know someone is about to stop by?

I sure do...

Like making sure none of the kids' underwear is
lying around...

And checking to see that the stack of mail hasn't
gotten too high!

But I also do something else to prepare for someone
coming over...

I run my essential oil diffuser!

I usually start it about 15-30 minutes before guests
arrive... and then keep it running while they are
here.

Thanks to the powerful effect aromas have on people,
this small step can really make a big difference when
it comes to making your home more welcoming.

In the summertime, I typically use citrus oils – like
lemon, orange, lime, or tangerine – because they are
so clean and refreshing.

Peppermint is a nice choice, too, in that it can have a
stimulating effect.

And, there are special oils I like to use during the
holidays.

Running your diffuser to prepare for guests is easy.

And it's worth doing.

It really serves to create a great environment for
visitors.

I know when I run my diffuser for my guests I always
feel better about my home...

And, it always puts a smile on my face when they
say how good it smells.
