People new to essential oils often have questions
about essential oil diffusers.
One of the most basic questions is... “How often
should I run my essential oil diffuser in my home?”
The short answer is...
...As often as you'd like a healthy,
good smelling home
environment!
But here's a bit more detailed response...
I like to run my home diffuser every day... for at least
a period of 20 minutes or so.
And there are three reasons why...
First, running your home diffuser daily makes your
house smell better.
As a mother of six
boys, I know how stinky a home
can get... but the daily use of my diffuser keeps
my home smelling good all the time.
Typically, I use citrus oils like lemon or orange oil,
or a blend called Citrus Fresh.
This is a very inexpensive way to keep a home
smelling fresh and clean, day after day.
Second, running your home diffuser daily creates
a
healthier environment.
Besides dealing with unpleasant odors, research has
shown essential oils are also able to reduce bacteria,
fungus, and molds.
Essential oils can be a great support to the immune
system as well.
If you're interested in diffusing essential oils to maintain
a healthier home environment, lemongrass, tea tree,
and
the blends Thieves and Purification are ideal choices.
Third, running your home diffuser daily makes you feel
better.
The good aromas that essential oils provide help you to
feel – and function – better in and of themselves...
But there's more...
Because of their unique molecular structure, essential oils
stimulate
certain neurotransmitters and the secretion of
endorphins... so you can experience a greater sense of
well-being as you live your life on your home turf.
And... it's all accomplished in an entirely nontoxic way!
When it comes to improving my own sense of well-being,
I find there are many oils worth diffusing... but my favorites
are probably peppermint, frankincense, and a blend called
Joy.
Is there anything stopping you from enjoying the benefits
of diffusing essential oils in your own home?
If so, let me know what it might be... and I'd be happy to help
you.
For your best health,
