How do we apply what the Bible says about foot washing today?

During the Last Supper, Jesus left His disciples a powerful example:

He washed their feet.

This was Jesus's way of showing the disciples how they were to win the world in His absence.

They were to do it through loving service.

Many are puzzled about Jesus's example of foot washing, and how we're to apply it today.

But it's really just about humbly serving those around us.

And this fits right in with the dominion mandate God originally gave us to fulfill.

The dominion mandate is not about lording it over others.

It's about ruling and cultivating what God has entrusted to our care through service.

For Jesus this meant giving His life for our redemption.

For us, it's about giving our lives to bring that redemption to others... using the gifts He's given us.
