An important
part of fulfilling the role God has for you is your connection to a local church.
This is why the Bible says...
"Let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another..." (Heb.10:24-25).
Our hearts grow cold fast.
And we all need the refreshment and encouragement that comes from regularly being with God's people.
Plus...
We all need to be actively
encouraging the people in our lives.
How do we do that?
Largely, by the way we talk with others...
And there are a jillion things we can say to bring life-giving words to those around us.
Here's just one idea...
Next time you're at church, ask someone how their week went.
Then, after hearing their answer, give a fitting reply that brings some encouragement... to persevere, do good, or whatever fits best.
Simple, right?
And I know some
people who are great at this.
But we all can do it more.
How about giving it a try this week?
It's a great way to encourage -- and be encouraged -- in the work God has given us all.
