Here's a riddle for you...

Question: What is wisdom?

Answer: Wisdom is listening to the right lady.

Huh?

Let's take a look...

In Proverbs 7 and 8 the Bible presents two different women.

Proverbs 7 presents an adulterous woman calling out to a naive young man.

She's cunning and attempts to seduce him as she appeals to his desire for pleasure.

Proverbs 8, on the other hand, presents a woman calling out to those entering the city.

Her speech is straightforward and she urges her hearers to follow her instruction.

These two ladies give a picture of the dialogue that goes on in our hearts.

One is lady folly, and the other is lady wisdom.

One offers the way of the cheat, which entraps and leads to death.

The other offers the way of integrity, leading to understanding and life.

So... wisdom is choosing to listen to the right lady as you're going about your day.

And your choice makes all the difference in the direction of your life.
