God has set you free...

My pastor shared an illustration too good not to pass on...

An old mill horse had spent its whole life walking around a pole grinding corn.

Finally, near the end of his days, he was retired to a pasture of 40 acres. There he could roam free.

So... how did the horse spend the rest of his days?

At the beginning of every day he'd find the closest tree and start orbiting... because the poor horse was so used to his bondage he wasn't comfortable living outside of it.

And here lies a powerful lesson worth remembering every day.

Friend, if you are in Christ, you've been cut loose from your servitude to worthless things.

There is no need to orbit those old sins that falsely promise you comfort and security.

God has set you free to follow Him in obedience and become an instrument He can use to build His kingdom.
