I heard something interesting while listening to a
podcast recently.
The speaker recommended that if you’ve got some problem weighing you down, don’t focus on the problem but focus on creating.
He went on to say that when we focus on problems, we tend to get paralyzed by anxiety in our thinking…
But when we give attention to creating and developing, we’re free…
… and the problems we have tend to get solved in amazing ways.
When I heard this, I couldn’t help but see how this fit with the way God made
us.
As God’s image-bearers, He calls us to co-create with Him.
And we’re not to worry, but trust Him along the way.
Surely problems will come… and if you’ve got a leaky pipe you need to fix it.
And… some callings — like auto mechanics — are all about repairing things.
But our general disposition is to be about creating and doing the good things God gives us to do… and not preoccupy ourselves with
problems.
