God does the raising up...

One of the amazing things about last week's Super Bowl is the way God seems to have raised up Eagles quarterback Nick Foles.

Here you have Foles... a fine Christian... but not considered a great quarterback (a second stringer, actually)... and he becomes the MVP of the NFL championship game.

The whole thing got me thinking...

When you read the Bible, it's clear that God is the one who raises people up to certain positions.

For example: He removes kings, and he sets kings up (Dan.2:21).

This is good to keep in mind.

It should keep us humble.

Keep us from jealousy.

And keep us faithful wherever God has us... always aware of the places He might want to raise us up.
