Being able to see God's hand in what's happening
in our lives sure is encouraging.
Problem is... if you're at all like me, you aren't able to see Him as much as you would like.
So how can we see Him more?
Jesus's Sermon on the Mount gives us some help.
There Jesus says:
"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God" (Mt.5:8).
Most take this to be a reference to the future, when we see God in the afterlife.
But the Sermon on the Mount is very much about how to live in His kingdom in the here and now.
So this verse also shows that as we keep a pure heart, we're better
equipped to see God revealing Himself in what He's doing around us.
Keeping a pure heart in our perverse generation isn't easy... but as we do, we'll have a clearer picture of the way God is at work in our midst.
