The "Clean Your Room" Movement

Published: Mon, 01/29/18

There's a good chance you've seen or heard some interview recently with Jordan Peterson.

Peterson, a Canadian psychologist, has become quite popular... and he's been all over the media lately.

One of the bits of advice Peterson regularly gives in his talks is 'clean your room.'

The idea behind this is simple and profound:

The way we find our place in life is not by having big dreams about changing the world. It's by sorting out the small things we should be managing right under our nose... like cleaning our rooms.

Peterson's message of personal responsibility is resonating.

And many... particularly young men... are finding it life changing.

On the one hand, it's surprising Peterson has gathered such a following in a culture that's been so saturated with a victim mentality.

But on the other hand, it's not surprising it all...

Because it connects perfectly with that core part of us that knows God has called us each to tend and keep our gardens (Gen.2:15).

... And the only way we're going to find our place in life is when we do exactly that.
