Do you remember this kingdom parable of
Jesus?
A landowner hires laborers throughout the day to work in His vineyard.
At the end of the day, the foreman settled up with the laborers.
... And he paid those who began working at the eleventh hour as much as those who started at the first.
The laborers who worked the whole day grumbled at this.
They thought they should receive more, even though they got paid their agreed upon amount (Mt.20:1-16).
The most obvious application of this is that God is free to be as generous with His grace as He wants.
... And we shouldn’t grumble when He is gracious to those less deserving in our sight.
But there’s another application you don’t want to miss…
It’s not too late to answer God’s call to labor in His vineyard…
And He will bless your for answering His call
now.
