Is your ability to contemplate the future paralyzing you?

Published: Tue, 10/17/17

To dream...

Envision...

Plan.

They're amazing abilities we have as humans.

But they carry a potential downside.

As we contemplate our futures, we can also become master worriers.

And when that happens, we end up spending our days fretting rather than doing the good works God has planned for us.

Jesus was well aware of this.

So in His most famous sermon... the Sermon on the Mount... He taught us to focus on the day at hand (Matt.6:11)...

And, to seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, knowing that as we do He will take care of the needs that concern us (Matt.6:33,34).

Remember that when the next money worry or health scare has you obsessing about the future.

God has given you important things to occupy you today.

Tomorrow will take care of itself.

Focus on what you can -- and should -- do now.
