It's a always
a thrill to read some life-changing insight.
... In fact, one of the reasons we read anything at all is to find life-changing insights, right?
Anyway...
I just came upon an insight in an article that I
believe is truly life-changing.
The insight is this:
The words 'problem' and 'solution' do not appear in the Bible.
Now think about that a minute...
Much of our lives are occupied dealing with problems and finding solutions...
... both at work and at home.
But...
The
Bible does not speak in terms of problems and solutions at all!
Yes... it talks of sin, and Christ as the one who redeems us from sin.
But even this is not seen as a problem and solution.
That's
because the Bible looks at life differently...
It looks at it morally, and in terms of our relationship with God.
And when we look at life the same way, we're able to view our problems differently.
Instead of seeing them as "problems" per se, we can view them as opportunities to trust and obey God... as He fulfills His purpose in our lives.
Of course, this doesn't mean the challenges we face every day will just go away.
But, this simple, biblical way of looking at our
problems can lighten their burden...
... and put us in a position to focus more on the Lord and what He is doing in our lives.
