Been pondering this
lately...
As we're forced to make hard decisions about our direction in life, we need to remember:
God delivers us as we move forward, not backward.
Consider Moses...
When Moses led Israel out of Egypt and toward the Promised Land, there was no turning
back.
Even when he came upon the Red Sea, he couldn't return...
Pharaoh's chariots were behind them. But not only that... God's pillar of fire moved behind them as well.
The only option was to go forward.
So that's what Moses did.
And as he stretched out his hand in faith over the sea, God delivered him and the people by parting the waters.
This familiar biblical account is worth keeping in mind...
Are you ever tempted to go back to a situation that seems more secure?
Be careful.
God's usual method of delivering us is as we're pressing forward... not as we're retreating in fear.
