Is our need for God disappearing?

Published: Fri, 10/13/17

Dan Brown has written another book.

Brown, you may recall, previously wrote the Da Vinci Code, wherein he discredited Christianity.

Now, in this new book -- called "Origin"--  he takes things a step further... by putting forth the idea that -- due to advances in science -- our need for God is disappearing.

Of course, this isn't the first time someone has tried to do away with God.

It began with Adam shortly after creation... when he believed Satan's lie that "you shall be like God" (Gen.3:5).

And... there have been plenty of examples since then of men trying to escape God's reach into their lives.

... The followers of Charles Darwin... the 1966 Time magazine cover that implied God was dead... and the contemporary biologist Richard Dawkins immediately come to mind.

But as these attempts to shake free from God's presence come and go, God keeps doing what He does...

He holds all things together by the word of His power... and bestows His grace through His Son to redeem and renew all of creation.

So don't get rattled by attempts to rid God from your consciousness.

God's work in this world continues on.

And so does the work He has for you.
