How you spend your alone time could make all the difference...

You might want to take greater care in the way you spend your alone time.

Consider the story of Saul's decline and David's ascent:

Both Saul and David were anointed by God's Spirit.

But Saul became withdrawn, jealous and paranoid... while David had a faith that enabled him to overcome the darkness and conquer giants.

What made the difference between the two?

One thing we know for sure...

David made a habit of spending his alone time worshiping God and meditating on His Word.

And this discipline forged his character for the battles he faced.

As we contemplate our own battles, we mustn't neglect the way we spend our alone time.

And we must make a habit of grounding ourselves in God's truth and His presence.

It's only as we nurture our souls here that we're made strong for all that our callings require of us.
