What if you're in a pickle for "such a time as this"?

Poor Queen Esther.

There she was, Queen of Persia.

Surely she wanted to keep a low profile and enjoy her royal position.

But she was in a pickle.

A culture war was raging... and she was forced to take a stand... when the cousin who took her in and raised her pointedly said:

"Who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as this" (Esther 4:14).

We feel for Esther because we can identify with her all to well.

Most of us just want to live a quiet life and enjoy it.

But sometimes God puts us in a certain place so we'd take a stand.

Think about that as our own culture war rages.

You might want to keep your peace, mind your own business and slip under the radar.

But God may have given you the position you have... and put you in the pickle you're in... for 'such a time as this'.
