Are your dreams to be used by God too old to ever materialize?

Published: Thu, 09/21/17

Do you ever wonder if your long-held dreams to be used by God are just too old to become a reality?

If so, let the Bible encourage you otherwise.

Take Caleb...

At the age of 40 he was sent to spy out the land of Canaan on behalf of Israel.

... Now that must have been an exciting mission!

Caleb brought back a favorable report... believing the land was ripe for the taking.

But most of his fellow spies didn't see it that way.

They were filled with fear... and they made the hearts of their countrymen melt.

As a result, an entire generation wandered in the wilderness.

And Caleb was stuck with them...

... seeking to remain faithful where God had him...

... for 45 years.

But when he was 85, things changed.

And Caleb -- who had maintained his vigor -- took part in the conquest of the Promised land... just as Moses said he would (Joshua 14:6 ff).

Do you have a vision for the way God might use you?

Or for what He might do in the future?

Don't throw that vision away.

Keep listening to the Lord and obeying Him.

We don't know exactly what the future may bring.

But we can be sure... the righteous flourish and bear fruit... even as they -- and their dreams -- grow older (Ps.92:12-15).
