Let’s be
upfront…
Faithfully pursuing the Dominion Mandate in your life takes courage!
That’s because to obey the Dominion Mandate you must contend with principalities and powers… as you seek to use your God-given gifts to displace the kingdom of darkness with the kingdom of light.
And that, my friend, is tough business…
… the kingdom of darkness doesn’t give up its lies and oppression easily.
Jesus, of course, knew this.
That’s why -- after reaffirming the Dominion Mandate with the Great Commission -- He promised the first disciples that they would receive power when the Holy Spirit came upon them (Acts 1:8).
And… indeed they did.
Before the Holy Spirit came, the disciples had no power to
bear witness to the truth about Jesus… so they fled in fear.
But after the Spirit’s coming they were empowered to boldly and courageously proclaim Christ as Savior and Lord.
Their witness brought some persecution on themselves. But it also brought many of their hearers to repentance and faith… leading
the kingdom to advance.
So pay attention to the Holy Spirit.
Don’t grieve the Spirit… or quench the Spirit…
But walk in the Spirit.
He will give you the power you need to follow your calling with courage.
