I love hearing from my
readers.
One of them wrote recently to express how my writing about the Dominion Mandate has helped him.
He said he likes -- in my paraphrased summary -- the way it roots out the shocking level of nihilism that has seeped into today's Christian culture.
Good to hear.
Because
that... in part... is exactly why I write.
Nihilism... the idea that nothing in life has meaning or matters... leads to a despairing, 'what's the use?' attitude... and this certainly infects the souls of many believers these days.
Now, I know... it's doubtful any Christian would say nothing has meaning.
But how many
have surrendered to the spiritual climate of our day and live as paralyzed victims... even fatalists?
How many -- instead of fighting the good fight -- spend their days in lethargy, defeatism and passivity... only to be excited by their various escapes?
These things ought not be.
Our Lord is setting up a kingdom that will never be
destroyed (Dan.2:44).
Yes... there will be conflict.
But even in the face of opposition we're to remember that "we are more than conquerors" in Christ (Rom.8:37).
And... to be a conqueror means more than just keeping our faith intact on our way to the afterlife.
It
means rousing ourselves to action and winning some victories along the way.
