On having a sense of timing...

Published: Tue, 07/25/17

There's a lot to be learned just by watching how Jesus handled things.

In John 7 Jesus was urged to enter Judea so He could take part in the festivities during the Feast of Booths.

... After all, this would be a good chance to show Himself to a larger audience.

But Jesus didn't want to go.

And He replied to those trying to get Him to go by saying:

"My time is not yet at hand, but your time is always opportune" (Jn.7:6).

With these words Jesus revealed He was somebody who lived with a sense of timing.

And that's something all who live with a life's mission in mind need to have.

Those without a mission? They'll grab any opportunity that comes along, just because it's there.

But for those with a mission... there's a time to prepare... a time to wait... and a time to go all in.

Keep that in mind as you consider your own life's mission... and figure out the timing of your activities.
