Recently my mom had a hip
replaced.
While with her during her recovery, I learned something interesting about her surgeon.
When he was a boy, he spent a lot of time helping out his father, who was a carpenter and craftsman...
And
today, the doctor likes to share with others how he still uses many of the tools and skills he learned as a boy.
(I guess that's why orthopedic surgeons are sometimes called body carpenters!)
Anyway...
This got me thinking...
We all have experiences from our past that have shaped who we are... and what we can contribute today.
And this includes you!
So don't ignore your personal
history.
Discover your life's trajectory.
God is able to take every bit of your past -- including the parts you'd rather forget -- to equip you to serve the world around you...
... in a way only you
can.
