Going from 'hearer' to 'doer'

For years I've made it a practice to write down ideas and the various things God shows me at any given time.

For example, in the notebook I'm using now I scribbled this:

"It takes no faith to learn something, but you must have faith to obey Christ and follow Him where He is calling you."

I pass this on to encourage you to have some way to capture what God is showing you... and then review these things on occasion.

I've found this can really help move you from being merely a hearer of His Word to being a doer...

Which to God is a big deal, because faith without works is dead (James 2:14ff).
