A friend of mine used to regularly say "Thank God it's Monday."
This was his alternative to the phrase "Thank God it's Friday"... which tends to view the workweek as drudgery and real life taking place only on the weekends.
I like my friend's perspective.
God has ordained we spend most of our days laboring at something for Him.
This is not a punishment.
It's His way for us to use our God-given gifts -- in concert with Him -- to advance His kingdom while serving others.
Each week, Mondays represent a fresh start in this effort.
I don't know what you have going today.
It may be something really hard... or it might be just the same 'ole routine.
But whatever it is, remember...
God has called you to a place and desires you to use you in that spot.
And as you are faithful, you never know how He will touch a life or inch His kingdom forward through you.
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord... (Col.3:23).
