Should believers be concerned about the condition of their culture?
Consider this...
When God told Adam to cultivate the garden (Gen.2:15), it was to begin a godly culture.
(Note: the word 'culture' comes from 'cultivation'.)
So, as Adam's offspring, our relationship with God is always about more than personal salvation and character building... and includes developing whatever God has entrusted to our hands in this world.
It's also why we're to approach the whole range of cultural activities -- including arts, education, science, business, law -- for the glory of God.
So does culture matter?
Absolutely.
And you could say the condition of our culture is a report card as to how faithful we've been in fulfilling one of God's most basic commands.
And by this standard, we've got work to do.
