Currently the entire Western World seems hopelessly divided on several fronts.
For example, in the U.S. we've got...
- Blue states vs. red states
- Pro-vax vs. anti-vax
- Woke vs. not woke
Over time I believe these divisions will lose their prominence and give way to the greatest division of them all...
The division between those who have faith in God and those who don't.
This divide goes all the way back to the fall of mankind, when God put enmity between the seed of the woman and the seed of the serpent (Gen. 3:15).
For most of our lifetime, the manifestation of this division has been relatively mild, and we've enjoyed a consensus on certain core values -- thanks to the great influence of biblical faith on the West over the past few centuries.
But as this faith wanes and the consensus is lost, things are changing. Divisions are becoming more visible, and will likely become sharper in the days ahead.
This may seem ominous, but it also brings opportunities... as people struggle to make sense of a world that has its assumed to be reliable systems collapsing around them.
To be prepared for this, now is the time to...
1. Become rock solid in what you believe
2. Build relationships with others for encouragement, growth and in some cases survival
3. Make faithfulness a non-negotiable aspect of your life
And remember too...
No matter how challenging things get, God's authority will continue to reign supreme, and He'll never leave nor forsake His people.
"I am with you always, even to the end of the age" (Mt.28:20).
