As one who always tries to find the bright side of any situation, I've been looking for something positive about having transgender athletes compete in the upcoming summer Olympics.
And I've found it!
Having biological males dominate the medal ceremonies of women's events will get people talking about the differences between males and females...
...and these are conversations we need to have.
For over a century American culture has been seeking to flatten the God-ordained differences between men an women.
Now the fruit of this slow but definite trend is becoming obvious... as people see the folly of a biological male weightlifter trounce his female competitors.
This should get people thinking... realizing... and talking about the fact:
There really are differences -- and even binary relationships -- between men and women.
And since these differences have an unavoidable impact on how we function and live, they need to be considered.
Let the games -- and the conversations -- begin!
"Male and female he created them..." (Gen.5:2).
