The world is a complicated place, but there are still really only two visions of humanity.
In one there is no God.
Just human beings trusting their unaided reason, believing if they conform to the orders of the ruling class, they'll eventually usher in paradise for all.
The other vision is shaped by the sovereign and all-wise God of the Bible...
... who is graciously extending His plan of redemption, which will ultimately bring about His kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.
You can sum up the difference in the two visions by calling the first the City of Man and the second the City of God.
These two alternatives go all the way to the beginning, when God said He would put enmity between the seed of the woman and the seed of the serpent (Gen.3:15).
And... each day everyone of us has to decide anew which vision will have our loyalty and obedience.
