St. Patrick is most often associated with the color green, shamrocks and dancing leprechauns.
But we really should remember him as a light in dark times.
Though once an uneducated slave, St. Patrick led barbarians to the truth and laid the foundation for Christian civilization after the fall of the Roman Empire.
How did he do it?
We can attribute the transforming power of his life to the way he lived out these words:
Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ in me.
Not a bad motto for those seeking to fulfill their calling and make their mark for the Lord in any generation.
