Years ago my wife baked bread as part of her weekly routine -- and with six boys she made a lot of loaves.
I remember when she rolled out the dough the loaves were so small. They looked like tiny tubes.
But once the baking was done and the yeast did its work, the loaves were huge... heaping over the sides of their pans.
This encouraged me every week I saw it because it reminded me what Jesus said about the growth His kingdom (Mt.13:33)...
It's like leaven. It starts out small, but works itself out in a big way.
Remember that when you're discouraged by the effect of your efforts.
The impact of your faithfulness works itself out slowly... but surely.
So stick with whatever God has given you to do... no matter how insignificant it may seem.
"For whoever has despised the day of small things shall rejoice" (Zech.4:10).
