I bet you'd like to envision yourself as a conqueror...
... conquering adversity, obstacles, temptations... or anything else standing in the way of who God calls you to be.
But if you're at all like me, you've done far too much wilting to honestly consider yourself a victor over your daily battles.
Well what can be done about that?!
How can we do more conquering than caving when it comes to the pressures we face in this life?
The Apostle Paul gives the answer when he wrote "we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us" (Rom. 8:37).
In other words...
We don't conquer by trying harder.
We conquer by resting in the love of the One who gave His life for us...
... believing if He did not spare His own life for our good, certainly He's there to see us through any test we face.
To help you apply this, how about making this your prayer today:
"Father, help me to live rooted and grounded in love as Christ dwells in my heart, so I can face every trial as the conqueror you've destined me to be."
