One of the sad things about our hurried society is we can tend to blow by the people around us without even noticing them.
At least that's the case with me!
Jesus, though, went about things differently.
He looked at the people around Him... and this typically led to a compassionate response.
For example:
"When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd" (Mt.9:36).
The compassion Jesus had for people helped drive his mission to serve them and ultimately give up His life.
But it began by seeing those around Him.
Your mission and mine really starts when we see those around us too.
