As we begin this new year, I don't recall living in a more uncertain time.
Such times can create a lot of anxiety... distracting us from fulfilling the work we have from God.
Yet God's Word directs us how to cope with this...
In the book of Acts, the Apostle Paul tells how the Holy Spirit was leading him to go to Jerusalem (Acts 20:17-38)...
Paul didn't know what would happen there, but that wasn't a concern...
... what mattered was finishing the course and ministry the Lord had for him.
We'd be wise to take Paul's approach as we face the uncertainties of our own day.
We may not know what awaits us in the weeks, months and year ahead.
But we can be sure we ought to persevere in the callings He has for us.
Only fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart. For consider what great things he has done for you (1 Sam.12:24).
