No doubt one of the biggest hindrances to anyone fulfilling the purpose God has for them is their own emotions.
In other words... many find that instead of getting dominion over the areas God has entrusted to them, emotions like anger, fear and disappointment rule their hearts.
This makes managing one's emotions key to living the life God has designed for you...
And here are three emotional management basics I'd encourage implementing today... and every day:
1) Always remember Jesus is Lord over everything you go through.
As God, He is ruling over all (Ps. 103:19).
2) Don't react to circumstances, but pay attention to the way God may be at work in any situation.
God has given you a spirt that allows you to have a sound mind and self-control (2 Tim.1:7).
3) Lean on the Spirit to help you overcome emotional patterns that tend to dominate your life.
By walking in the Spirit you can avoid acting on destructive impulses (Gal.5:16).
Putting these tips into practice won't change you over night.
But over time God will use them to keep you from being your own worst enemy, and free you to be who He's made you to be.
