In our divided times it's tempting to write people off who aren't part of your tribe, and just decide you aren't going to deal with them.
But that's not how we see Jesus handling the tribalism of His day.
He'd reach out to those who were different than Him (think Zacchaeus and the Samaritan woman).
And, while staying true to His ideals, He'd draw them into a new tribe... for people who share a common need for grace and desire for truth -- satisfied in Him alone.
Well Jesus is still building that tribe, across all nations today.
And one of the best things we can do in our current, dehumanizing cancel culture is to connect with those we'd consider outsiders and love them into His tribe.
... A good thing to keep in mind as you face barriers with coworkers, neighbors, family members, etc. due to different views.
