Most Sunday church services finish with what's known as a 'benediction.'
The pastor doesn't conclude by saying 'See ya later' or 'Have a good week.'
He proclaims good words -- typically with hands raised -- from God.
The most common statement of blessing is:
'The Lord bless you, and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine on you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up His countenance on you,
And give you peace’ (Num.6:24-26).
I believe recalling these words is the best way to beat the Monday morning blues.
No need to be sad the weekend is over and another week is here.
God has renewed you by His grace. And now He wants you to do your part in His kingdom.
And whatever that part is, He is with you... blessing you and giving you His peace.
