One of the growing challenges we face today is censorship.
It's a big problem in many online platforms. And it's been an issue in workplaces and community settings for a while now.
There are certain things you're just not supposed to say. They're considered off limits. So many people end up censoring themselves as well.
No doubt this runs afoul of the freedom of speech guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution.
But there's a deeper concern too.
Censorship is usually driven by a desire to suppress the truth. We, on the other hand, are to be all about speaking and applying the truth.
It's by living in the truth we have integrity.
And it's the truth that sets free... transforms lives... and serves as the foundation for ruling and cultivating God's world as He calls us.
So don't be quick to stay silent when there's some truth to say in love.
Speak with wisdom whenever you can.
'What I tell you in the dark, say in the light, and what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops' (Mt.10:27).
