We need to remember God works out His story over a long period of time... not like a movie that's done in a couple hours.
And we must keep in mind also... the story He's working out is always bigger and better than what we're facing any given time.
The classic example of this is the story of Joseph (Gen. 37-50), where he went from being a slave to prime minister of Egypt, in order preserve God's chosen people.
Parts of Joseph's story were horrendous, but God worked them all out for good.
Well, as one who is the same yesterday, today and forever, God continues to providentially write similar stories.
I heard a remarkable one this weekend about how God miraculously brought two men together who came to learn they had family ties going back to the Civil War.
I won't spoil the story, but it's amazing and worth listening to.

The important thing to remember is God is working out His story -- or as they say, narrative -- today... in your life individually and in the period of history we're experiencing together.
And we're each responsible to play our part as faithfully as we can.
