This email continues my series on the good that's coming from COVID-19.
One way to describe our Covid-19 experience is to say 'it's been humbling.'
... you can't just up and go as you please.
... the threat of illness reveals we're vulnerable.
... and no matter how cool you try and make a mask look, wearing one isn't too flattering.
The whole deal shows the control we think we have over life is far less than we think.
Like I said, it's been humbling.
But...
Humbling isn't such a bad thing.
As a nation that's turned from God, we've needed humbling.
And being humbled puts us in a place to look to the one in whom 'we live and move and have our being' (Acts 17:28).
The Bible tells us further... 'God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble (Jas.4:6).
So being smacked down as we have, let's pray many souls would turn to Him...
... and that it would bring healing to our land (2 Chron.7:14).
Our humbling Covid-19 experience tells us we can't live by our stuff alone; we need God and His Word (Mt.4:4).
Get Dominion,
David Bostrom
