Schools are getting back in session.
Yet thanks to COVID-19, most classes across the country will at least start the school year meeting virtually rather than in person.
No doubt, this has put new demands on parents, students and teachers.
But there's a real positive coming out of this: parents are getting more directly involved in the education of their children.
Over the years it's been just kind of assumed that teachers, administrators and boards are the primary authorities when it comes to education.
But God has made parents primarily responsible to oversee their children's education (Eph.6:4)... and our current situation is forcing parents to take on this role.
As parents are more involved in what their kid's education is about, I believe it will lead to big changes... involving content, quality, values and choices.
This is all good -- AND needed.
And we'll be able to thank God for using COVID to help bring this about.
