Wouldn't you like to just ignore the culture war so you could get on with your life unhindered?
Unfortunately, we don't have that luxury.
As my friend Andrew Sandlin put it:
Wishing away this culture war is naïve at best, and pernicious at worst. You might not want the culture war, but the culture war wants you.
So how is an ordinary person supposed to approach life in today's culture war?
We can take a cue from those who labored in Nehemiah's day... with a trowel in one hand and a sword in the other (Neh.4:17).
In other words, we keep building while staying vigilant.
