One of the hardest things about our current corona situation is we've lost so much independence.
We just can't up and go as we please... make things happen like we used to... or create anything but tentative plans for the future.
There are just too many unknowns out of our control!
The uncertainty this brings, of course, makes us miserable -- because we LOVE our independence.
And without it we become anxious and fearful... because our idol of control has been toppled.
Yet...
There's some real good that can come from this.
We can learn our lives depend on God -- and not ourselves -- like never before.
And we can internalize it's the fulfilling of His plans that matter, not our own.
And, as we make a habit of trusting Him and not leaning on our own understanding... and look to Him in all our ways... we can be assured He'll keep us on the path we need to be on.
So don't miss the opportunity we have to learn dependence on the Lord in these days.
It's as if He's giving us all a crash course in the subject!
And if you learn the lesson well, you'll definitely be blessed for it.
'Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green' (Jer.17:5-9).
