Staying on track and fulfilling your purpose to the best of your ability calls for clear thinking.
But how do you keep your thinking sharp and focused on living out the design God has for you?
Aging, stress and fatigue all tend to dull the mind and make thoughts fuzzy.
And when you throw in our inclination toward waywardness, we can find ourselves headed down a wrong path in a hurry.
Of course, some decline in our faculties can't be avoided... and for this we look forward to the glory of the new creation.
But in the meantime we can make sure our hearts are filled with the truths of God... as there is no surer form of protection.
And one of the best ways to do this is with the help of a catechism.
A catechism -- if you aren't familiar -- is a simple tool for internalizing biblical truth in a question and answer format.
My favorite catechism is the Westminster Shorter Catechism (produced way back in 1646).
Yesterday I found an audio version of this and I want to pass it on to you.
You can find it either as a podcast or a download from Ligonier Ministries.

And, a bonus of these recordings... they're read with an arresting yet easy to listen to Scottish accent.
Check it out.
Enjoy it.
And let it sharpen your thinking.
