Are the Covid-19 pandemic, forced shutdowns and prospect of global famine signs we are living in the last days?
Many think so... including a lot of pastors.
But take note of this...
Probably ninety percent of the prophecies used to claim today's current events are signs the end is near have ALREADY been fulfilled.
That's right...
They were fulfilled in the promised destruction of Jerusalem that took place in the year 70 A.D.
I know this may go against what you've been led to believe... but it makes perfect sense when you realize the 'end' Jesus referred to in Matthew 24 was to take place in His generation (Mt.24:34)... and John's prophecies in Revelation were to take place 'shortly' (Rev.1:1).
Indeed, they were fulfilled soon -- from the perspective of those days -- when the Roman armies came and destroyed the Temple... which brought the end of the old Jewish religious system and introduced the new age of the Messiah.
I mention this because there's a lot of end times prophecy nonsense that goes around.
And it's not only false, it's a distraction from God's call on your life.
God doesn't want us speculating about the end of the world... He wants us faithfully using our gifts in the world for Him.
Or as the Bible puts it, He wants us occupying until He comes (Lk.19:13).
