I see the city of Seattle hired a transgender stripper to perform at a recent conference on homelessness... paid for with tax dollars, of course.
How do you react to this kind of stuff?
It makes me angry.
I think it should.
It's all about normalizing perversion.
And -- I believe -- if it doesn't make you mad, you're not far from accepting it as okay.
Plus... God gets angry at this kind of thing all the time.
He's angry with the wicked every day (Ps. 7:11).
And if God gets angry, we should know how to get angry at certain things too.
Actually, knowing what to get mad at is part of maturing in Him.
But....
And it's a big but...
This doesn't mean you should seethe with rage or react with hostility.
Never.
That would be destructive.... and to fall short of the righteousness of God (Jas.1:20).
Rather, channel your anger into something constructive.
Always.
Like seeking hard after God's grace... or doubling down on the kingdom work He's called you to do.
In fact... looking at it this way, we probably don't get angry enough.
If we did, we'd be more zealous for what is right. And more determined to use our gifts to advance the light of His kingdom.
"Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good" (Rom.12:21).
