I'm working on the next lesson for a men's group I'm leading.
It's about vision.
Vision is a big deal when it comes to living out God's purpose.
We know this because the Bible tells us "where there is no vision, the people perish" (Pr.29:18).
But where does vision come from? It seems kind of mysterious.
The second part of the verse in Proverbs helps us when it says "but blessed is he who keeps the law."
How does that help?
By showing us we get God's vision for our lives by keeping His law in our circumstances.
So, if you're looking for a clearer vision of how God wants to use you, ask Him to show you what obeying Him and applying His Word looks like in your situation.
As you do, He'll give you a picture.
And as that vision emerges, it'll give you an idea how He wants you to serve.
That vision might be for something smallish and temporary.
Or it might be for something big enough to shape the direction of the rest of your life.
Either way... pay attention to any pictures God gives you as you look to Him with an obedient heart.
God made us to think in pictures... and the best pictures come to us as we walk faithfully with Him.
