Again we find ourselves preparing for a hurricane.
One of the fun parts of it this go around is we now have a meteorology student in the family.
So we have our own in-house weather forecaster updating us on the latest models and storm tracks -- in detail.
And due to where we live, he's also become quick to point out a Hurricane Hunter airplane when it flies overhead!
Observing his interest is wonderful... because God designed us to take notice of His creation and involve ourselves in it.
And just as He took hold of creation to work it and develop it in the beginning, so are we as His image-bearers to do the same today.
So no matter what your stage in life, it's healthy and faithful to nurture some interest in God's created world...
... and learn about it... even master it... and put what you've discovered in the service of others.
It's one of the things that brings joy to life.
