I was opening a can of tuna for lunch and noticed that can openers have come a long way.
They sure are safer, more efficient and easier to operate than they used to be!
Yet they're still only really good for one thing -- opening cans.
They aren't great for lighting the room, sweeping the kitchen floor or serving up soup.
But that's okay... they're not made for these things.
They're purpose and design is to open cans.
In a similar way, God made you with a certain purpose in mind, and He created you accordingly.
So there is no need to get hung up over what you're not good at.
And there's no point trying to be like someone else.
Rather, consider the abilities, inclinations and experiences God has given you... and make the most of them...
...knowing that through these He intends to fulfill His purpose through you.
"...for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure" (Phil.2:13).
