Faithfully overcoming excuses can play a big part in answering God's call on your life.
Consider Moses:
When God called Moses to bring His people out of Egypt, Moses didn't jump at the opportunity.
He objected.
He first argued he wasn't the right man for the task...
"Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the sons of Israel out of Egypt" (Ex.3:11).
And then he claimed he wasn't good enough with words to accomplish the mission God was giving him.
"Please, Lord, I have never been eloquent, neither recently nor in time past, nor since You have spoken to Your servant; for I am slow of speech and slow of tongue (Ex.4:10)."
But God provided for Moses.
And Moses overcame His excuses.
And as he did, God worked through him mightily, advancing the next phase of salvation history.
Today, God's work of redemption in the world is still unfolding... leaving no place for excuses when His call comes.
