Overcoming evil

Living in a culture that seems like it's being overrun by evil is discouraging.

It can make you feel like you're fighting a losing battle... that your efforts are in vain...and the day will come when perversity will prevail.

But we need to take on the perspective of Jesus who said:

"Whatsoever the Lord has not planted shall be rooted up" (Mt.15:13).

All the distressing trends appearing to take hold these days will eventually be shaken loose and brought to nothing.

Evil will not have the last word.

Jesus has already overcome the world.

So... "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good" (Rom.12:21).
